Save Our Sons

June 12, 2009 by: Pinkietoes

Pinkietoes has come across a organization call Save Our Sons Inc.
It has an even coming up to raise fund for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is normally diagnosed between the ages of 4 to 6. Usually by their teenage years DMD sufferers are confined to wheelchairs and
deteriorate from their muscle by muscle. Eventually the lungs and heart give in to the ravages of the disease. 90% percent of DMD patients do not live to celebrate their 20th birthday.

This disease has a 100% Death Strike Rate. No child has survived to date.

Researches predict that a promising breakthrough is still 5 to 10 years away. Unfortunately for some of our sons this will be too late. I cannot emphasize the importance of Research and much needed funds.
